5000 views is an interesting milestone for me. I am so excited to have readers out there that frequent my blog reading about this novel or that self-help book or whatever, but a lot of times I feel I owe my readers something more. I feel I should give you more reviews or post more regularly or even do one of those book giveaways. But honestly I don’t know what I need to do, you see I am a very busy student who has little time for extra-curricular reading, but I make time…for YOU. I read and read and I ask for more books and read some more, but it sure can be tiring. Sometimes I think I don’t read enough, especially when faced with the fact that there are many more book reviewers out there, ones who can read faster and maybe even write a bit of fiction themselves. Should I learn how to speed read, or would that sacrifice the quality of my reviews? I ask myself what do my readers want and how can I deliver that.
Are any of you avid readers? I’m sure you are. I would even bet that there are many people that read my blog that read books way more often and faster than myself but just don’t feel like blogging themselves. Well let me tell you it is definitely fun! Worth it too, but it is a demanding job at times. Have you ever committed to reading X number of books a month? It makes it hard to read and get through the books you want to while still enjoying it. But the best part is getting that book review written and sent out to the reader. It is SO satisfying to finish a review!
So what do you want to know about the process of book reviewing? Maybe you have some ideas for me, I would be glad to hear them. Maybe you want to know where all the books come from, please ask away!
